Stay in a good environment. I'm not a lame host with a crappy apt . You won't feel uncomfortable, I guarantee it. My guests have a really good time. Socialize a lot too. If you don't know Manhattan, don't be fooled, Midtown is the worst. This part of town is really happening, hip, young and fun. Not overpriced either. Eat, drink, party for cheap! Inexpensive, great restaurants, loads of cheap drinks, no cover charges at most places. Live music venues, lounges, sports bars, clubs, hookah bars, everything! You name it, it's close! If you are a younger person (or not), this area is where it's at! Feels like you're out of the city because there are no high rise buildings near by. Easy to get anywhere in NYC. You're going to love this area!

This is one of the nicest, most sought after areas in NYC. Serious only. Thanks! Alan

"From the first phone call Alan was friendly and very helpful. I drove to New York and when I called for directions, he went a step further and stayed on the phone with me giving me turn by turn directions making sure I didn't get lost. Alan was a great host, very friendly with a laid back attitude. He gave me all the privacy I needed but was there whenever I needed some tips on where to go or what places to stay away from. The building is clean and in a great location, from the lobby it's literally a 25 second walk to lots of local bars and restaurants. I have stayed at numerous places across the country and this was by far my favorite experience. Thank you for everything Alan, see you next time!"

"Needed a place to stay in the city on short notice and on a budget. This place worked out great. Alan was a great host. The place was quiet and comfortable. The neighborhood is one of the best in the city to explore and find great restaurants and shops.I would definitely recommend this place and I expect I will stay again."

"Superbly located in East Village, this is a place not to be missed if you love nightlife and diversity. There are plenty of quirky cafes, restaurants and galleries in the neighbourhood. Alan is a very friendly host who respects the privacy of his guests. His knowledge of the city not only helped me familiarise with Manhattan, but also appreciate various aspects of it. In addition, the apartment has a great view on the roof deck and a friendly doorman."
