Technically, it's Jersey City (or Chilltown) but closer to Downtown Manhattan than Times Square. One stop on Path train to Christopher St. in West Village. Large (by NYC standards) a.i.r. (artist-in-residence) flat with living room, dining room, kitchen, & 2 tiny bedrooms at opposite ends. Not posh but comfortable. Occupied by mildly jaded writer/ photographer & goofy cat still riding the wild roller-coaster that's the creative life. Happily welcoming any adventurers landing in New York from far-flung European capitals like Monte Video or Pittsburgh. 2nd tiny bedroom for one person or couple. $225/week.
