(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/ZCewa)
Move-in date is January 1st.
The apartment: 3 bedrooms, living room, small fully stocked kitchen, bathroom and backyard private terrace.
Pros:
- Great neighborhood - elegant and convenient, lots of easy going bars and clubs, lots and lots of great restaurants, young crowd
- Newly finished floors and painted recently
- Entrance to large private terrace
- Close to subway station, groceries, CVS, etc.
Cons (I list these cuz I hated sleazy brokers who wouldn't tell you up front and you'd get there and find something badly wrong with their apartment):
- Room is on the small side (approx. 10x9); fits full size bed, dresser, and nightstand.
- Kitchen is small
- Closet space is in the living room
The roomies:
- Davis (me) and Alex - We're both in our 20s, very relaxed and friendly. I work as a strategic planner at a hospital, and Alex works at a
hedge fund in CT. You probably won't see us much, since I'm also a competitive ballroom dancer, so I'm always practicing, and Alex
doesn't spend a lot of time in the apartment either. Neither of us cook, so the kitchen mostly lays unused. And we like to keep the place
pretty neat.
Also, Kristoffer, who will be moving out, is offering to sell the furniture (bed, desk, dresser) for $200, although this is not a requirement
to move in.
We're looking for somebody who is nice, cool, and clean. Of course, pays rent responsibly etc. Monthly rent is $1125, and cable internet,
utilities usually add up to less than $100 total each month (so $30-40 per person). Unfortunately we aren't allowed to accommodate pets :(
