We have one bedroom available in our amazing 3-bedroom duplex in the East Village, near the L train and a 10 minute walk from Union Square. It has an open kitchen, an outdoor area (Our 2-story patio is great for outdoor entertaining) and two full baths.
The room we're looking to fill is one of the two downstairs bedrooms and is unfurnished. It is very spacious for NY standards - approximately 14x11 with 2 small closets—enough to comfortably fit a queen-sized bed, desk and dresser w/ space left over.
We're two girls, mid-late twenties, who appreciate the fineries of both outdoor summer BBQs AND trashy reality shows. We want a guy or girl in our age range that is social, neat and respectful of common places and with normal working hours. No smoking (allergies) or drugs or pets (building doesn't allow it). Furniture for the common spaces is a plus since majority of our furniture will be leaving with our roommate.
While currently we're looking for someone to sublease starting in August (8/1), ideally we want someone who is willing to sign the lease come December. Rent is split equally ($1484 per person) as are utilities. Our leasing company is VERY strict. You must make at least 50 times the rent to be considered (their rules, not ours - and do the math, it means $74,150) so please don’t waste our time if you don’t. Also, you must have been at your job at least 1 year and have good credit.
