Hello and thanks for reading my ad. We have a small furnished 1br available in a 3br apt.
The room will be available September 1. Short term stay is ok. The building is a walk up
and the apt was renovated when I moved in about 3 years ago. The bedroom window faces the
street so if you are a light sleeper you might need earplugs!!!
About the neighborhood:
The apt is close to the 168st A train stop. The A runs express and is only 4 stops to 42st.
the train ride is about 16 min on a good day. There is two supermarkets one is between the
train and the apartment. Plenty of food options close by like Chinese, Japanese, Irish Pub,
Italian, Indian, Starbucks, Middle Eastern and of coarse plenty of Dominican restaurants
:-). There is also 2 Hip places to grab a drink. The area has been getting very gentrified
since Columbia built 3 large buildings close by. This apartment is perfect if you are going
to attend Columbia Nursing Program or Work and the Hospital.
About us:
You will be living with 1 female and 1 male both in our 30's. She was living in SF for 10
years and organized the Film Festival. I am a fashion designer. I'm very laid back and
respectful. For fun I kiteboard and surf...and she plays trivia !!! There are no real house
rules other that the obvious...like don't leave your dishes for too long. Don't leave your
stuff lingering for days in the common areas. You can do whatever you want in your room but
respect the areas that are shared with your roommates. I believe its important to have a
good, peaceful and respectful vibe between roommates. Home should be a place to recharge
not stress .
